Q: What first drew you to hospitality, and what has kept you in the industry over the years?

A: I was introduced to hospitality early on through my mom, who planned campaign events for Congressman Joe Moakley. Watching how meaningful experiences were created sparked my interest, and bartending through college gave me hands‑on insight into guest service. But attending my first wedding as an adult is when it really clicked for me that I could blend creativity with logistics and attention to detail. That mix of connection, creativity, and organization is what drew me in and what’s kept me passionate ever since.

Q: What experiences have most shaped your career in events, and what continues to excite you about the industry today?

A: I’ve been fortunate to produce events in truly iconic venues, from The Met’s Temple of Dendur to the U.S.S. Missouri and NFL stadium buyouts. Each came with unique challenges but also the chance to create unforgettable, one‑of‑a‑kind moments, which have shaped my career the most. What still excites me today is how the industry constantly evolves. There’s always a new venue, design direction, or innovative idea to bring to life. That continual reinvention keeps me energized.

Q: What is something people might not know about you?

A: Earlier in my hospitality career, I actually learned how to flair bartend and even created a full routine for a Bartender Olympics event benefiting Make‑A‑Wish. I won at my location and competed at the regional level. It’s definitely not a skill most people expect from me!

Q: What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given, event-related or not?

A: One of the best quotes I’ve ever taken to heart is Nelson Mandela’s quote: ‘I never lose. I either win or learn.’ As a self-proclaimed Type A perfectionist, I used to put a lot of pressure on myself to get everything right. Over time, this quote has helped me reframe mistakes as part of the process. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the lessons that came from a few setbacks along the way. It’s a reminder that every experience has value, and that learning is just as important as succeeding.

Q: What is your favorite restaurant or activity in Boston?

A: One of my favorite restaurants in Boston is Woods Hill Pier 4. Their farm‑to‑table menu is outstanding, and the waterfront setting makes it a full experience. The location also has personal nostalgia - my mom produced events there decades ago when it was Anthony’s Pier 4, so getting to work with clients in that same space feels like a full‑circle moment.

Q: Are there any event trends or design approaches you’d love to see more of this year?

A: I’d love to see more interactive experiences that create personalized moments for guests. I’m a big fan of touchpoints like live poets writing custom poems, AI‑driven caricature sketches, or hands‑on stations where guests blend their own tea or design their own scent. These elements spark conversation, create connection, and give people something memorable and truly unique to take home.

Q: Outside of work hours, what is something you enjoy doing?

A: Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband and our two children. I also enjoy cooking, hiking, and tackling creative DIY and craft projects. As an avid gardener, I especially love growing and arranging flowers, bringing the same creativity and attention to detail that I apply to events into my home life.

Q: What is your dream event or destination activity you would want to execute for a client?

A: I am a big sports fan, so I would love to get the chance to execute something as incredible as an Olympics Opening Ceremony or even the New England Patriots Super Bowl Ring Celebration! Go PATS!
