Q: Did you always see yourself working in hospitality? Did you have any other dream jobs growing up?

A: I did not see myself working in hospitality, I always thought I would be a fashion designer! Growing up I was always intrigued by fashion, so much so that I went to school for accessory design, and it is still something I am passionate about today.

Q: What educational or work experiences led you to want to work in events?

A: The skills I learned working in video production and set design are what led me to events. I have experience producing commercials which require production schedules, run of show documents, and a number of other logistical pieces that also translate to event planning.

Q: Can you share a favorite or most memorable moment from your events career so far?

A: One of the most memorable moments for me so far was joining the Corinthian Events team the week of an annual All Hands retreat. Being brand new to the team and somewhat new to the industry, it was an incredible learning experience to hear everyone sharing so much of their knowledge and insight. It was also a really fun introduction and way to quickly bond with the team.

Q: What is something people might not know about you?

A: I collect vintage furniture and art.

Q: What is your favorite part about working for Corinthian Events?

A: The team, creativity and support.

Q: What is something you’re proud to have accomplished in your career so far or something you are looking forward to accomplishing?

A: Something I look forward to accomplishing is becoming more well-rounded when executing events. I am proud of the work I have done independently in my career so far, but I am excited by the challenge of handling more galas and large-scale productions with a full event team.

Q: Where do you think you can see the best view of Newport?

A: I would say one of the best views of Newport is at Castle Hill Inn. Whether you’re dining outside or just relaxing on the lawn, the view of the water is gorgeous!

Q: What is an event theme you would want to execute for a client or would like to see used more in the coming year?

A: It is my mission to propose and execute a fully monochromatic event for a client. I think having a space filled with décor that is all the same color (specifically the same shade!) would be incredible. I would also love to somehow incorporate more fashion into an event. Mainly using designer furniture or other décor pieces, but a more traditional fashion show could be fun too!

Q: What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given, event related or not?

A: The best piece of advice I have been given is to be confident being different, and to think outside the box.

Q: What is your favorite restaurant or activity in Newport?

A: My favorite restaurants in Newport are Giusto and Scales & Shells.

Q: Outside of work hours, what is something you enjoy doing?

A: I enjoy going out to eat, going to the beach and taking photos.
