Q: What was your dream job growing up?

A: I thought I wanted to be a chef and own a restaurant, but then studied culinary arts in high school and realized it wasn’t for me. I was introduced to event planning in my senior year of high school and as they say, the rest is history!

Q: What has been your favorite moment of your events career so far?

A: Bringing a group of 300+ guests to Thompson Island and watching a customized drone show!

Q: What is your favorite part about working for Corinthian Events?

A: I love that I get to do something different every day. Sometimes I’m working with a budget and crunching numbers, other times I’m on Pinterest looking up inspiration for décor. My favorite part is executing events onsite and getting to see a space completely transform from start to finish.

Q: What’s something people might not know about you?

A: I recently earned my MBA! I completed the degree after 3 years while still working full-time!

Q: What made you want to get into this industry and how did you get here?

A: I went to a vocational high school and studied culinary arts. The senior class always planned and designed the annual Superintendent’s Dinner, held in our cafeteria. I was elected one of the banquet managers and I absolutely loved it.

I went on to study hospitality management at Endicott College with a concentration in event management. After I graduated, I worked for an event rental company as my introduction to the industry. Following a brief hiatus due to COVID-19, I was eager to get back into event planning and luckily found my place at Corinthian Events!

Q: Where do you think is the best view of Boston?

A: Besides on the water in Boston Harbor, my favorite spot to see the skyline is driving down Memorial Drive at night and looking at the city across The Charles.

Q: What is something you’re proud to have accomplished at Corinthian Events?

A: I executed my first 250+ person DMC program in September as an Event Manager. I am incredibly proud to have been promoted in less than a year of being hired at Corinthian Events, and now I am executing solo projects!

Q: What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given, event related or not?

A: You have survived 100% of your bad days.

Q: What do you think is the biggest challenge facing meeting and event planners today?

A: I would say the biggest challenge I’ve faced recently as an event planner is availability when it comes to staffing and supply from our vendors. I always have to plan ahead to secure what I need for my upcoming projects. The industry is still recovering from the pandemic, meaning we are working with less supply and higher demand. The farther in advance you can confirm staff and vendors for your events the better.
