Q: What educational or work experiences drew you to working in events?

A: During my senior year of college, I interned at an event planning company in Charleston, SC, where I had the opportunity to assist with a variety of weddings and events. When I worked on the Charleston Wine + Food Festival, I truly fell in love with the events industry. I loved all the logistics and moving pieces of a large-scale event, especially seeing the behind-the-scenes planning come together in real time. It was incredibly rewarding and fulfilling, and by the end of my internship, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in events.

Q: The world of hospitality is constantly changing and evolving. What is one thing you love about our industry?

A: One of the things I love most about our industry is the relationship-building aspect. Each event brings together different clients, vendors, venues, and teams, and I really enjoy building those connections. There’s something especially rewarding about collaborating with so many different people toward a shared goal and seeing everyone create something special together.

Q: What are you most excited to experience now that you’ve joined the team at Corinthian Events?

A: I’m most excited to continue learning and growing within the industry from such a talented and creative team. I’m looking forward to working on a wide variety of events, taking on new challenges, and experiencing more of the New England event scene.

Q: What is something people might not know about you or that would surprise your coworkers?

A: Something that might surprise my coworkers is how many different sports and activities I was involved in growing up! I did competitive gymnastics, dance, soccer, field hockey, and cheerleading. I was always on the go and loved having something to practice and work toward.

Q: What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given, event-related or not?

A: The best piece of advice I’ve ever been given is to always keep things in perspective. Life is full of unexpected challenges and changes, and it’s easy to get caught up in the moment. Having perspective reminds me to take a step back, focus on the bigger picture, and not let one difficult moment overshadow everything else. It’s something I try to carry with me in both the good moments and the challenging ones.

Q: Can you share a favorite or most memorable moment from your events career so far?

A: A favorite so far has been getting to work on both the Charleston and Nantucket Wine & Food festivals. Both were week-long events, which made it exciting to see all the planning and preparation come together over the course of multiple days. I loved having the opportunity to work closely with the clients, vendors, and event teams throughout the entire process. Getting to know everyone, collaborate closely, and build relationships along the way made the experience even more meaningful.

Q: What is something you’ve learned about yourself from working in events?

A: One thing I’ve learned about myself from working in events is how adaptable I can be. No matter how much you plan, there are always unexpected changes or challenges that come up, and I’ve learned to stay calm, think on my feet, and stay solution-oriented.

Q: If you could plan an event anywhere in the world, with no budget or logistical limitations, where are you going and what would it be?

A: I’d love to plan a week-long destination experience in Italy where the event itself unfolds throughout the trip, starting with a welcome dinner, followed by vineyard tours, pasta-making classes, local excursions, and intimate dinners in different towns, ending with a big farewell celebration.

Q: What is your event necessity or one thing you always have onsite with you for an event?

A: My event necessity is a small emergency kit. You never know what might come up onsite, so I always like to have the essentials on hand!

Q: Outside of work hours, what do you enjoy doing?

A: Outside of work, I love staying active, whether that’s surfing, skiing, yoga, or Pilates. Most of all, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
