From Rendering to Reality:

Custom 1920s Dance Floor

June 8, 2023

Creativity is endless when it comes to events and our team always loves the opportunity to reimagine traditional event elements. We recently designed a custom dance floor for a client’s 1920’s themed gala! Here’s how it came together.

After a site visit of the event space, we began to brainstorm how to best turn a typical wooden dance floor into a work of art. The new dance floor needed to transport guests back to the Gatsby days of the 1920s while also staying intact throughout a long night of dancing.

There is a large wooden dance floor in the middle of the room.

Our planners worked with our in-house Graphic Designer to conceptualize a digital rendering of the dance floor. This design was then presented to the client so they could better visualize the end result.

Once the artwork was approved, this 24 x 16 graphic was sent to print as a vinyl cling and precisely cut into sections for easy installation onsite. In the meantime, our planners designed a floor plan for the event, ensuring the custom dance floor was a focal point in the room.

When we arrived onsite, our team worked to install the cling, piece by piece, until the entire dance floor was transformed. The installation process took 2 hours from start to finish. This custom graphic elevated an otherwise plan dance floor and enhanced the overall 1920s theme of the event.

It is always amazing to see our creative concepts come to life right in front of a clients’ eyes!
