Q: What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given, event-related or not?

A: “Do the absolute best I can with Integrity.” I also find that “It’s all right to fail” or “don’t be afraid to fail” is important to remember.

Q: What made you want to get into this industry and how did you get here?

A: I have always known I wanted a job that was behind the scenes to something bigger. As a senior in high school, I interned at the Gloria Gemma Foundation helping them in the office and preparing for their upcoming events & fundraisers. Volunteering one night at their annual fashion show, I discovered that I enjoyed helping to put together an amazing event!

In college, I studied Hospitality, specifically the Sports, Entertainment, and Event Management side. The more I learned about the industry, the more I fell in love with logistics, operations, and coordination.

Q: What is something people might not know about you?

A: I was a competitive swimmer up until I was 16 years old, and I was accidentally an extra on the reality TV show Southern Charm. I am also an auntie to one of the cutest kids ever!

Q: What is an event theme or destination activity you’ve always wanted to execute for a client?

A: I would love the opportunity to host a Cocktail Party or Reception on the Coastal Queen. I also think it would be fun to incorporate Newport Cooks into an activity.

Q: What is something you are looking forward to in the coming year?

A: I am looking forward to continuing to be a part of this amazing team and assisting our clients in producing memorable events. I hope that in the coming year I get to work on a program that has a lot of moving pieces such as meeting planning, AV, offsite dinner, décor, activities, and transportation.

Q: Where do you think is the best view of Newport?

A: I would say one of the best views of Newport is from the Eisenhower House. It has a beautiful view of the Newport Bridge!

Q: What is your favorite part about working for Corinthian Events?

A: My favorite part is the variety of services we provide to our clients. It makes my every day a bit different. I also love that I am not selling a specific venue or activity but all of Newport.

Q: What is your favorite venue or activity in Newport?

A: My favorite venue to have events is at one of the Newport Mansions and my favorite activity is the 12-Meter Sailing Regatta.

Q: What was your dream job growing up?

A: At a young age I knew that I wanted to be in the events industry in some capacity. When I was in kindergarten, we had an end-of-year project about what we wanted to be when we grew up and my project was based on my dream to be a wedding dress designer.
