Q: Did you have a dream job growing up? If so, what was it?

A: I had many different dream jobs growing up, but I mainly wanted to be a flight attendant. I loved traveling and the experience of flying as a kid and wanted to find a way to do it more often.

Q: How did you end up working in hospitality? Did you always see yourself working in this industry?

A: I didn’t always see myself working in this industry. Throughout school, I always excelled at math and science, so I initially studied engineering in college. I shifted majors a few times, but I knew I was organized and good with numbers, so I got a job at an events company working on tech-based projects. The more I helped with budgets and proposals, the more I learned that I really enjoy event planning and the different ways in which technology fit into that world.

Q: What is something people might not know about you?

A: I coached All Star competitive cheer for several years. I was a competitive cheerleader myself throughout high school and discovered afterward that I also enjoyed coaching.

Q: What is your favorite part about working for Corinthian Events?

A: The team at Corinthian Events is very supportive. There is always someone willing to help you through the learning process. I also really enjoy the Registration department and the jobs I get to work on.

Q: What is something you’re proud to have accomplished in your career so far?

A: I am proud of the fact that I allowed myself to experience different industries in order to find my passion for events. My current role at Corinthian Events perfectly combines a lot of the individual interests I had tried to pursue, and I would consider finding this job to be an accomplishment.

Q: What is your favorite restaurant or activity in Boston?

A: My favorite activity in Boston is going to the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. The beautiful courtyard garden never loses its charm, no matter how many times you visit.

Q: Can you share a favorite or most memorable moment from your events career so far?

A: Something memorable from my career in events so far is my experience working with Newport as a destination. In my previous position, I had the opportunity to site a handful of venues in Newport for different events and became the go-to person in the office for information about events there. It was great to build that much knowledge for one specific destination. I love that we have a Corinthian Events Newport office and look forward to helping with more of our Newport events.

Q: What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given, event related or not?

A: It’s not necessarily advice, but something I try to live by is the mantra of staying cool and calm. I always remind myself to stay grounded in situations because overreacting doesn’t usually get you anywhere productive.

Q: Outside of work hours, what is something you enjoy doing?

A: I enjoy skiing and going to the beach. I spend a lot of time with my dog, Nova. I also enjoy gardening and puzzles when I have downtime at home.
