Melanie joins the Newport Hospitality team as a seasoned event professional with twenty years experience working within the event industry as both a planner and supplier.  After planning events around the country, Melanie returned to New England, settled in Newport and loves hosting groups her hometown.  Recently, one of her clients described her as a “pretty good duck”…calm and collected on the surface while paddling like heck under water.  Committed to executing successful events, Melanie pays close attention to details while ensuring overall strategic goals of events are being met.

When not playing the role of a tourist, Melanie enjoys running, hiking, and going to the local beaches with her wife, and whenever possible continuing their “Beer & Wine across America” tour by exploring new breweries and vineyards.
