As event planners, we are used to starting with our clients from the beginning. However, sometimes our clients come to us with a lot of the bones for their event already finalized. For this event, the client had already planned two dinners during their off-site meeting for their guests. Their venues were booked, entertainment confirmed, and menus finalized – but they were stuck on décor. They had some great ideas but weren't sure how to tie them all together. We worked with them to pick out the best ideas and work together to create cohesive designs for each dinner.
On the night of the first dinner, we got a good taste of New England weather, and, as one famous author has previously noted, best laid plans often go awry. And so it began the dinner was supposed to be out under the stars on the terrace at the Liberty Hotel, but Boston weather had other plans. A rain storm and cooler temperatures came through that night, so we decided to move the party indoors, adjusting the overhead bistro lighting to complement the indoor ballroom and none of the guests were ever the wiser!
The following night for the clients second dinner of the meeting, the weather cleared and the party went on without a hitch! The weather warmed up, the sun came out, and we had a lovely dinner under the Signature Pavilion Tent at Lawn on D. The guests loved playing lawn games and chatting on the halo swing, while the dinner décor complemented the fun game night atmosphere. Colorful runners complemented the furniture provided by the venue, while tabletop games as centerpieces added to the game night feel.
We are always happy to help our client's complete their vision, where ever they are in their process when they come to us! Here's to another fun set of dinners planned in the city we love.
