Corinthian Events is honored to once again partner with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay in designing and producing Big Night 17. Over the last 16 consecutive years this partnership has allowed Big Night to morph and grow as an event guests can't wait to attend. We love the challenge each year to concept and create a new and different event, keeping it fresh and unexpected. This year did not disappoint!
This year, Havana Nights called over 1,000 guests to the House of Blues in Boston to rock out with some of the hottest bands in entertainment. Opener Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats is a total rising star! Their band has recently been featured on Jimmy Fallon and completely brought down the house, starting with an intimate acoustic set for a VIP pre-party followed by a killer main stage show.

Tropical flowers, chocolate covered coffee beans, fedoras, wooden branded crates overflowing with ripe pineapples are just a few of the details that made this event unique. A scent machine of sunscreen was the first touch that made the guests feel transported followed by mojitos served right from a rolling fruitwood cart. The main stage featured a rotating sunset created by specialty lighting effects and enclosed by a satin colorful border. Palm trees, of course, completed the look!

Food stations sat beneath sand colored cabanas and varied colorful lightbulbs and lanterns hung from the balcony adding dimension to the space.

Stilt walkers, salsa dancers and Carmen Miranda-esque performers posed with guests for photos. A roaming photo booth snapped photos of guests and printed them for guests to take home as a keepsake at the end of the night. Rustic walls were set with clothes pins and burlap ribbon separated by timestamps for guests to collect their snaps!

The night closed out with the one and only, FLO RIDA. Jammin' hit after hit, Flo took the stage in a blinged out Red Sox jersey and reminded us all that it was Goin' Down For Real. Flo body surfed into the audience, popped champagne, and handed out roses to the ladies.

The show was unmistakably one of the best in Big Night history! The mission video and auction presented by Mix 104 emcees Karson, Kennedy, and Salt, and Comedian, Tony V helped the organization raise more than $2 million to match children with mentors locally in Boston. Now that's what we at Corinthian Events call a successful event!
